Community Opportunities

Here you will find opportunities for your family in the local community.

Visit the Cape Fear Regional Theatre's website to see their summer program offerings!

Check out Cape Fear Botanical Garden’s new book 200+ Ways to Explore Nature! All these activities can be done in the comfort of your own home or backyard with supplies that you already have. Great for homeschooling and staying busy during the stay-at-home order. We hope this will help everyone stay involved with environmental education, learning, and enjoying the spring despite these uncertain times. Activities are for all ages from preschool through teenagers and adults.

Go here to download the book created by our own staff, full of activities designed to meet NC Science Standards and foster a love of nature. Since it is a large file, please allow a few minutes for it to download.

Though the book is free to download, we are asking for a $10 donation to support the Garden’s education programs during this period of lost revenue. If you'd like to download the booklet please consider a donation! You can donate here.

Please also tune in for our virtual classes and tours every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. EST! Next week we will be going on a virtual hike along our beautiful Cape Fear River Trail. You can view our virtual events live on our Facebook page
